My teacher helped me solve a problem in my work. I was drawing a bench press machine but it looked like my person was laying next to the bench because of the way I drew it. So my teacher suggested that for an alternative plan, I should take a picture of somebody laying on the bench and then draw from that.
I've realized that there's more to art than just being able to draw something. Artists develop art making skills by exploring stuff and thinking beyond. You have to me able to look at something and put a lot of thought into it and be creative enough to add things to it when you draw them. |
